Its esthetic, tightly bound Widmanstatten pattern of iron nickel crystals, paucity of inclusions, and high resistance to rusting have made Gibeon a prized addition to many collections. Turn an etched piece of Gibeon about and watch the arrays of shiny silver kamacite crystals, in contrast to the gray taenite ones, furtively catch the light, appearing and disappearing like bolts of lightning.
